The construction industry is facing radical change due to increasing technological possibilities, disruptive new entrants and historical inefficiencies. In recent years, our partner has only been able to build the necessary mindset and capabilities for digital products to a limited extent. Therefore, one of the top-selling divisions of a family-run construction machinery group was looking for a partner to formulate the digital revenue strategy, drive its implementation and support the company in this process.

In this end-to-end project, we took overall control of a division-wide initiative to identify and realise new digital revenue and quickly established this while building the necessary expertise.

Bitrock has been instrumental in a leading role in the development, implementation and roll-out of the construction machinery health and performance monitoring solution. Previously, after a thorough analysis, we established a data-driven modular platform based on IoT as a digital vision, designed and validated several product concepts including business models with customers and designed the required IT architecture. As part of the product development, over 150 features for the platform were identified and prioritised. In addition, over 70 detailed mock-up screens were created, which were optimised to meet the customers' requirements. These findings were then implemented in our own UX/UI design process.

At the same time, we always involved the entire organisation and relevant stakeholders, creating a momentum and a new readiness for digital transformation on a strategic and operational level.
